This November, U CAN LEARN wanted to offer students an incentive to write. We love stories and books of all kinds, so we asked seniors at Salt Lake County high schools to submit a short story; and we only gave them two months to do it. We received some great stories ranging from a different ending to the Titanic tragedy to a runaway girl with an imaginary friend. 

Even more than reading these stories, we loved going to Granite High and hand delivering the well-earned prizes. The students of Ms. Candice Green's class were so excited, and their enthusiasm for writing made our day! Ms. Green was awarded $100 dollars towards her class budget for participating, Skyler Eyre took second place and was awarded $75 and the winner of the writing contest was Margaux Pugh.
