Cogmed
Working Memory Training
The growing awareness of working memory's importance is changing the way we view an individual's performance at all the stages of life. Since its US debut in 2004, Cogmed has proven through evidenced-based research that working memory is more important to learning than IQ and that this cognitive function CAN BE increased through systematic exercises.
Today, hundreds of experts in the field of medicine and psychology have embraced working memory training. People whose success was once constrained by poor working memory ability have shown great gains in their attenbtion and focus, reading comprehension and math calculation. Post-chomtherapy patients and people with concussions are also great candidates for this working memory break-through. The effects are quick, the exercises are engaging, and post-testing shows that the gains in working memory never revert to pre-training level.
