About

Karla received her master's degree in speech pathology from the University of Utah and has been in private practice 25 out of 26 years. She started U CAN LEARN in 2001 when she recognized the need to address processing issues in children, youth, and adults. 

She is the head cheerleader of a great team of teachers and therapists, coaxing even the most resistant child into loving their time at U CAN LEARN. In her spare time, she loves gardening, reading, writing and running.

Karla enjoys opportunities to speak and do workshops in local schools, church events, school forums or even book clubs. These talks are free because she really wants to share what she knows. Raising awareness of learning disorders and her ideas for intervention is her way to give back to all the students who taught her so much.
